High Absorption Magnesium- 60 Capsules
After turning a sample of this product down at IRONMAN Boulder in 2016 I paid for my magnesium deficiency with a severe bout of hyponatremia which derailed my race with 10 miles to go and sent me to the medical tent for hours post-race. Afterwards I consulted many experts and they all agreed the culprit seemed to be low magnesium. MgSport is now part of my pre-race and race day nutrition protocol and I haven't had any problems since including posting some of my best times in IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 races. It is easy to use, tasteless, and the recommended race protocol works fabulously. You can combine it with your other electrolyte solutions with no ill effects. Learn from my mistake, use MgSport.
This is the type of magnesium you want to take if you are experiencing leg cramps. One pill before bed is all it takes. I take a statin for cholesterol and have always suffered from leg cramps. Found that Crestor plus one of these Mg pills is my magic bullet. Perfect cholesterol numbers and a complete elimination of leg cramps. I couldn’t be happier. Don’t bother with other Mg types. This product from MGSPORTS is the one you want. Worth every penny!
This is the best magnesium I have found that helps with my leg and other muscle cramps. I get leg cramps from walking and sometimes from working hard with my hands. This magnesium helps minimize the cramps I have if any.
Get real relief with magnesium supplement that helps with muscle spasms and restless leg syndrome, leg, calf and foot cramps, heart palpitation, energy production, bowel motions, sleep, bone formation, relaxation, positive mood, blood pressure, and migraines.
"AI thought I had tried everything; for the last forty years I've had terrible leg cramps at night and had tried all kinds of medications and remedies none of which had worked. I saw your product and read the reviews and decided to give it a try. It worked the very first night and has been working every since. Thank you for a great product!"
"I have diabetes and cramp a lot all the time mostly at night. They would hurt so bad and actually pull my muscles sometimes very painful. I tried these pills and to my surprise they work, my cramps are not gone but are manageable and don’t hurt as much. I can go a few weeks at a time before I will cramp up, before these pills it was every night and prayed it would only be one cramp in my leg and not multiple cramps in my leg. To me these are a miracle pill and I will not stop taking them. I take two a day when I get up I take one and before I go to bed I take one. Thanks so much."
"I first tried this product when given to me as a sample at an Ironman race year which happened on a record breaking heat day, the hottest weekend for the month of June in town since 1961. I started taking it 2 days before the race as the guy at the expo told me, and on race day I took one capsule the morning of then one while I was on the bike and another one on the run... the whole 2.4 miles swim,112 miles bike and 26.2 miles run (in 108F temp), my legs felt great, I had no cramping or any muscle issues whatsoever. so happy with it! I've been taking it every night ever since then. "
To start with take one tablet at night before going to sleep (regardless of physical activity) in order to build up a store of magnesium in the body. When the body's balance is restored (Loose stools in the morning) stop taking MgSport for two days. Then take one tablet on every day of sporting activity to maintain body balance.
Magnesium is best absorbed in the body during sleep, when the stomach is acidic, so the best time to take a MGSPORT capsule is immediately before going to sleep. If this is not possible, take one tablet together with half a banana or a snack one hour before sports activity. Should one of your friends suffer from muscle cramps during training, don't hesitate to give him a tablet too – it will bring relief within 30 minutes.
The answer lies in the amount of magnesium absorption in the body.
Studies show that most products that cost less also provide poorer results.
The proper calculation of cost efficiency is as follows:
- The recommended daily serving of MgSport is 1 capsule compared to 2-4 tablets in other brands.
- The absorption level is three times higher than in other brands – thus one MgSport capsule is equal to 6-12 tablets of "regular" magnesium.
- The price of 1 box of 100 servings MgSport should be compared with the price of 600-1200 "regular" magnesium tablets.
Conclusion: MgSport is more user-friendly and economical than other brands in the market.
No. Clinical studies showed that whatever is not absorbed in the body is excreted through the digestive system. If only a small amount is absorbed in the cells and most is excreted this may cause loose stools. This is why highly absorbent MgSport contains a large amount of active ingredients while regular magnesium tablets have very little active ingredients.
People who are sports active are recommended to increase amounts of magnesium intake to compensate for the loss of magnesium during physical activity.
When exerted physical effort is required, during training or before difficult sporting events (marathons, triathlons, Ironman), an extra tablet is recommended after breakfast.
Due to the decrease of magnesium in our bodies (over 80% of the population are magnesium deficient) resulting from 21st century dietary habits, the entire population should be taking magnesium supplements.
Sporting activity depletes the cell's magnesium store even further and reduces the effectiveness of the activity and the rate of lactic acid excretion from the muscles.
Lack of magnesium slows down body recovery rates after exerted physical activity and may lead to torn muscles, stress fractures, osteoporosis (reduced bone mineral density), and the inability to absorb vitamin D.
Blood tests do not indicate the magnesium level in the body. In order to avoid a drop in the magnesium level in the blood (which may lead to a disorder of heart rate) the body uses magnesium found in the cells and bones to maintain the level in the blood.
The amount of magnesium present in the cells and bones can be ascertained only by means of the Intracellular Magnesium EXA Test. Comprehensive studies found that more than 80% of the population have either a very low level of magnesium or a magnesium deficiency.
The difference between products lies in intracellular absorption and in the amount of elemental magnesium contained in each tablet.
For example, magnesium citrate was tested and found to be inefficient with regard to intracellular absorption compared to MgSport.
Products based on this component should be avoided.
MgSport was tested and found to be the most efficient product with regard to intracellular absorption. The amount of elemental magnesium in each tablet appears on product labels and can be easily compared.
Calcium and magnesium "compete" against each other for proper absorption, so it's preferable to take them separately.
Zinc and potassium deficiencies can be treated by eating bananas (it's no coincidence that tennis pros Nadal and Federer eat banana during a game, and it's not only for the available energy).
MgSport was developed especially for the needs of athletes and contains 900 mg magnesium, of which 380mg are elemental magnesium.
Today we know that Magnesium enhances the absorption of vitamin D, and not vice versa. Vitamin D deficiency may indicate magnesium deficiency.
